The share of female labor in building the new societies of Southeast Asia.

Whenever I travel in Myanmar I try to get off the main tourist trails by using the local transportation system. Riding on the train in ordinary class or using a bike gets you easily in contact with the people. By leaving the main roads, following the sounds and smells of the side streets I try to immerse in to the real world of the ordinary people. That's where I find the subjects of my photography and behind every corner hides a great story. Women do an incredible amount of hard work in the Asian community. My photographic duty is it to document these incredible circumstances and to generate awareness of living conditions of woman in Southeast Asia.
